The Black Net

The Black Net (or Network) is an unstructured association composed of current and former members of The Queen's Own and serves, in an informal manner, to keep everyone informed of what's going on in regimental life and matters. Those who are posted away from the Battalion, in addition to their staff jobs, serve as vital contacts when the interests of the Regiment are involved. It also serves to ensure that no matter where they may be, every member of The Queen's Own, past or present, is a member of the "Regimental Family," and has the opportunity to be "kept in the loop." The name is derived from the fact that all members of the Regiment wear black lamp wick ties, black buttons, black puttees, black webbing with their uniform.
